Pub Choir Beer Release Party (Dec 23)

We are releasing the "Smokin' Tumblweed" Whisky Barrel Blonde on Saturday, December 23rd, with a special music event, inspired by chansonnier nights of Québec and the Maritime provinces. Local musician Sean Petersen will perform classic tunes that everyone knows the words to, and the point is to drop the lights and have the whole room sing along. The past three Pub Choir Nights have been very popular and is turning into a monthly event, so here we go! "Smokin' Tumbleweed" Whisky Barrel Blonde: This double-barrel blonde was aged 12 months in two whisky barrels procured from our friends at Tumbleweed Spirits Craft Distillery: one rye barrel and one bourbon barrel. The barrels were blended together to produce this potent brew, marrying the two whisky flavour profiles. Aromas of smoked apple and almond cake tease the nose, followed by honey-drizzled grains and toasted oak on the palate, finishing with a clove tingle on the tongue. The alcohol strength is... well, let's just say that creating this beer description has rendered one brewmaster unable to drive. Consume responsibly, or risk a tumble!
