About the Event
We're bringing in another round of fresh Effingham Pacific Oysters, and serving an English-style Cask of Hopped Brown Ale on the Firehall Beer Engine (contains lactose). Reserve your oysters below (5-7pm): 3 for $ 15+tax, or 5 for $20+tax. While quantities last, reservations served first. Seating is first-come-first-serve.
CASK: "Hopped Brown Ale" ... but truth be told, this is a double-fermented hybrid. It started as a light and refreshing dark beer brewed first with lager yeast, and then cask conditioned using English ale yeast for the secondary fermentation. It was dry-hopped with three New World hops: Idaho 7, Elani, and El Dorado, together imparting aromas of peaches, pineapple, strawberry candy, and orange creamsicle. All Firehall casks are now served at cellar temperature (10-12C, 50-53F) through a hand-drawn beer pump, creating a cascading carbonation, rich foam, and a creamy texture.
