Firehall Open Mic Night (March 24)

Normally every second Friday, the next Open Mic will be on a Thursday to not conflict with the Eagle Eyes concert on March 25th at the Venables Theatre (www.venablestheatre.ca/coming-soon)

Firehall Open Mic Night is an opportunity for local musicians to perform their art in a public, social setting in the Firehall Brewery taproom! Open Mic Nights are an important part of every music scene, to allow new musicians to flourish, and seasoned musicians to hone their trade. Please keep in mind, the "pub" environment may not always provide an attentive audience, but capturing the crowd is all part of the challenge ;)

Free admission! We recommend performers book a table for themself (and/or their group) if they need a seat for the evening. 

One "Ticket" is for one whole table, not for one seat. Registration will close when all the tables are booked.

We recommend that performers book a table for themself (and/or their group) if they need a seat for the evening. 

Please arrive around 5:30 and identify yourself to our host, David Badger. He will find you a slot for you to play up to three songs.

We will have three microphones, and a PA mixer with more than enough inputs for instruments. Small electric amps are permitted, but they must be coordinated with the sound tech. Small percussion instruments are permitted. Bagpipes are stricly prohibited unless you are wearing a kilt... just kidding (though kilts are awesome).

We have no restrictions on genre, though we insist that all performers respect that our space is family-friendly, and we have a strict intolerance for prejudice or abusive material.

Please respect the musicians. They have worked hard to get up on the stage :)

Tables are assigned by online reservation only.

Tables must be claimed by 5:30pm. At 6pm, unclaimed tables will be released to walk-in customers.
