VOLUNTEERS (North Okanagan)
Volunteers are a 3 piece (sometimes up to 6 piece) garage country group from the North Okanagan, playing the original songs of okanagan raised Liam McIvor (current steel player for Petunia & The Vipers). They take influence from John Prine, Gene Clark, The Flying Burrito Brothers and other psych country acts from the 60s and 70s. Blending them with traditional folk & country songwriting conventions under dense lyricism about love, mortality, compost & garbage.
